This is a slightly different post as we have some amazing news to share with you! As the organisation continues to adapt to meet a huge increase in demand for mental health support services, we are currently restructuring. And so, we have the opportunity for two Non-Executive Directors to work alongside the Space2BHeard team on a voluntary basis, helping us in supporting mental health and wellbeing in Hull and the East Riding.

As a social enterprise, Space2BHeard is built around not only our clients’ needs, and the knowledge and experience of our qualified mental health therapists and professional wellbeing practitioners. But we also look to appoint voluntary team members, where relevant, to support mental health projects and day-to-day business requirements, through other skillsets.

It is our aim to bring the very best in mental health provision, wellbeing services, and support for individuals as well as within the workplace. And this takes a range of talents, abilities, and personalities too!

Are you ready to bring something new to our team, supporting mental health and wellbeing, in your area?

What positions are available?

We are currently looking to appoint two voluntary Non-Executive Board Directors to provide guidance and expertise to the Space2BHeard Managing Director, Laura Stead.

This truly is an amazing opportunity for anyone interested or experienced in matters of mental health, mental health awareness, and eager to enter into supporting mental health and wellbeing in a non-executive capacity.

Initially for a period of 12 months, if we all feel it is right to do so, we may review a continued appointment. Which of course would be ideal as we progress.

We strive to ensure that Space2BHeard CIC is operated ethically, professionally, and in line with local and national guidelines, we would be particularly keen to hear from applicants with the following skills:

As you can see, we’re not looking for much!

Seriously, we appreciate that these roles may be difficult to fill, particularly as they are voluntary.

But we also know that the right people are out there.

We are not looking for full-time commitment, so it would be perfect if you have a little spare time, perhaps retired or currently working part-time. Or possibly as part of your Corporate and Social Responsibility entitlement or personal and professional development?

What is it like to be a part of Space2BHeard?

We’ve already mentioned that these positions are very much behind the scenes. But as they are crucial in ensuring compliance and continuing support from and to local businesses and our partner network, we are also keen to make sure everyone feels like a part of the team.

A not-for-profit organisation is one that requires collaboration and strong group support, and that is exactly what we do.

Whether employed by Space2BHeard, self-employed, or volunteering, all our team members feel welcomed, respected, and valued.

We remain committed to improving inclusion and diversity within the organization itself. And we treat each of our members with the care and respect that they deserve.
