As we share our 2025 Space2BHeard Impact Report, we find ourselves pausing with a deep sense of pride, gratitude, and admiration for everyone who forms part of this incredible community. This past year has been one of purposeful growth, strengthened relationships, and renewed commitment to the people we serve.

When we look back at everything Space2BHeard has achieved in 2025, one feeling stands above all others: pride. Pride in our team, who have worked tirelessly to strengthen governance, enhance clinical excellence, expand training, and nurture a workplace rooted in authenticity, compassion and professionalism. Pride in our volunteers and clinicians, whose dedication ensures people across Hull and the East Riding can access safe, meaningful, lifechanging support. And pride in our community, who place their trust in us at times when they may feel most vulnerable.

Improving mental health through highquality therapy has always been our passion and lifelong commitment. This year, our services continued to grow in depth and reach, from longterm psychotherapy and specialist group programmes, to expanding workforce development, strengthening the Valued Minds programme, and enhancing the ways we provide safe and effective therapeutic pathways. Every improvement reflects our central belief that emotional wellbeing is the foundation of a thriving life, and nobody should face their challenges alone.

One of the defining strengths of Space2BHeard is the community that surrounds us. We are proud to work in partnership with local organisations, volunteers, training providers and networks who share our values and vision. These relationships not only help us respond to the changing needs of the people we support, but also remind us that we are part of something bigger, a collective effort to build a healthier, more connected region.

As you read this year’s Impact Report, we hope you feel the same sense of hope and momentum that we do. The numbers tell an important story; improved mental health outcomes, more accessible therapy hours, expanding programmes, but it is the personal journeys behind those numbers that matter most. Stories of people feeling seen, heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change. That is why Space2BHeard exists. That is why we do what we do. And that is why our commitment to this work will always remain steadfast.

We are excited about what lies ahead: new services, strengthened frameworks, deeper community partnerships, and further opportunities to create lasting impact. But today, we simply want to say thank you. To our team, our volunteers, our partners, and every person who has walked through our doors this year. You are the heart of Space2BHeard.

With warmth and gratitude,
Laura Stead & Michelle Shanley
